Two levels on the East Building have been turned over as we prepare for a Temporary Certificate of Occupancy or TCO. Final touches are going on the exterior buildings with the interior finishes following. In the next few weeks, we will see the flooring installers working hard, the electricians finishing their portion, the landscapers coming by the crew, and all of the trades coming back for punch work.
We are excited to begin scheduling the final punch walks with the owners. A final punch walk is a critical step in the construction process. This stage indicates the point at which both the project owner and contractor determine all work is complete, and the project owner is able to occupy the space and use it for its intended purposes.
As the building starts to come to life, the design intent is more evident. Each level is themed by a word and color, which defines that level. Colored carpet, tile, doors, room signage, and more bring the life of Union on 6th into the home of the apartments.
What is the next project milestone?
The next project milestone will be the East Building TCO.
